Arsenal and Manchester United reduce interest in Maxi Araujo

Arsenal and Manchester United have reportedly reduced their interest in Sporting CP defender Maxi Araujo. Despite previous rumors suggesting the Premier League clubs were preparing significant offers for the Uruguayan international, recent reports indicate that interest from both sides has cooled.

Araujo recently signed a contract extension with Sporting CP that runs until 2030. While his market value has been estimated around €40m to €50m, his new contract reportedly includes a release clause of €80m. Neither Mikel Arteta nor the Manchester United management are currently pursuing the player, as both squads possess existing options for the left-sided position.
