Arsenal targets Jarell Quansah and Ezri Konsa to bolster defense
Arsenal is actively pursuing defensive reinforcements following injuries to William Saliba and Jurrien Timber. The club has opened negotiations with Bayer Leverkusen for England defender Jarell Quansah. Quansah, 23, is considered a versatile option capable of playing both centre-back and right-back. While Leverkusen is reportedly reluctant to sell and has set an asking price of at least €50 million (£43 million), Quansah is said to be open to a move to the Emirates.
In addition to Quansah, Arsenal has been linked with Aston Villa defender Ezri Konsa. Although reports suggest a deal for Konsa could be close, a significant valuation gap remains, with Villa reportedly seeking approximately £60 million.
Other transfer activity includes discussions regarding Portuguese midfielder Fabio Vieira, who is currently at Hamburg, with Arsenal potentially willing to negotiate a lower fee for a permanent deal. Meanwhile, the club has clarified that interest in Galatasaray's Victor Osimhen remains speculative and that discussions regarding Gabriel Martinelli's potential move to Turkey have been rejected.
