Arsenal defender Ben White out for season after serious knee injury

Arsenal confirmed that defender Ben White has suffered a significant medial knee ligament injury incurred during the 28th minute of the 1‑0 win over West Ham. The club’s medical team will oversee his rehabilitation, stating “Our medical team is preparing his recovery programme and we are all focused on getting him ready for the start of pre‑season training.”

The injury ends White’s season, ruling him out of the final two Premier League matches that decide the title and the Champions League final against Paris Saint‑Germain. It also puts his participation in the upcoming World Cup, which begins on 11 June, in doubt. Arsenal currently lead Manchester City by five points with one game fewer in the championship race, while fellow defender Jurrien Timber is also sidelined with injury.

The club hopes White will return to full fitness in time for the next pre‑season.
