Arsenal face injury concerns ahead of Liverpool match

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has provided updates on several key players ahead of the upcoming Premier League fixture against Liverpool. Following a Carabao Cup exit to Fleetwood Town, the squad is managing multiple fitness issues.

Arteta confirmed that Riccardo Calafiori, Declan Rice, and Christos Tzolis have returned to training. Their availability for the match at Anfield depends on the outcome of upcoming training sessions. Calafiori and Rice both sustained issues during the recent match against Everton, while Tzolis has been sidelined with a thigh injury sustained during international duty.

Other squad concerns include Noni Madueke, whose fitness remains uncertain due to an ankle injury, and Bukayo Saka, who is expected to be sidelined for several weeks following a recent injury. Additionally, Max Dowman will miss upcoming matches due to a three-game suspension. Long-term absentees William Saliba and Bukayo Saka continue their recovery processes.
