Premier League Arsenal FC Mikel Arteta summer signings English football

Arsenal has experienced a volatile start to the 2026/27 Premier League season. After winning their opening four matches against Coventry City, Aston Villa, Chelsea, and Sunderland, the team suffered a 3-0 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion.

New summer signings have begun to integrate into Mikel Arteta’s squad. Christos Tzolis has started all five Premier League matches following his move from Club Brugge, while Ezri Konsa has provided defensive depth after arriving from Aston Villa. Bruno Guimaraes has also joined to strengthen the midfield.

Despite the early success, the team faces challenges including a significant injury list and questions regarding their attacking depth. Mikel Arteta has recently secured his position at the club with a contract extension running until 2030.
