Arsenal seeks elite transfers after Vinícius Júnior snub

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed the club is actively seeking elite players following several failed transfer attempts this summer. A primary target, Vinícius Júnior, opted to remain at Real Madrid after signing a new contract through 2032.

Other notable recruitment setbacks include missing out on Morgan Rogers to Chelsea and trailing Liverpool in the pursuit of Paris Saint-Germain’s Bradley Barcola. The club also previously failed to secure Dusan Vlahovic and Benjamin Sesko.

To address squad needs, particularly in the attacking line and defense, several alternatives have been discussed. Potential targets include Julian Alvarez, Kaoru Mitoma, and Marcus Rashford. Additionally, Arsenal is reportedly interested in Ezri Konsa from Aston Villa, though an initial offer was rejected. The club also faces defensive challenges due to injuries to William Saliba and Jurriën Timber.
