Arsenal intensifies chase for Morgan Rogers as transfer race heats up

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is personally leading the club’s pursuit of Aston Villa midfielder Morgan Rogers. The 23‑year‑old England international, who helped Villa win the Europa League and earn a World Cup squad place, is valued at a minimum of £80 million, with a potential price tag reaching £100 million if a bidding war develops.

Arsenal have opened preliminary talks with Rogers’s representatives and view the signing as a statement move to reinforce the squad after winning the Premier League. Rival Premier League clubs Chelsea and Manchester United are also monitoring the situation, while Villa have indicated they are not in a hurry to sell.

If completed, Rogers would add creativity and versatility to Arsenal’s attacking options, potentially easing competition for existing forwards such as Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard as the Gunners aim to defend their title and challenge in the Champions League.
