Arsenal targets midfielders Bruno Guimaraes and Morgan Rogers

Arsenal are leading the race to sign Brazilian midfielder Bruno Guimaraes from Newcastle United. The London club have reportedly offered a £55 million bid, which Newcastle rejected, citing a higher release clause. Competition also comes from Liverpool and Barcelona, while Newcastle maintain that the player is not for sale. Reports suggest a £65 million offer could be acceptable, but Arsenal have not yet made a formal approach.

In addition, Arsenal are pursuing Aston Villa midfielder Morgan Rogers. The 23‑year‑old has impressed with 14 goals and 12 assists in the 2025/26 season, and Arsenal view him as a solution for their left‑wing position. The club believe personal terms would not be a barrier if a deal can be reached.

Arsenal’s transfer agenda may also include Italian midfielder Sandro Tonali, another Newcastle player reportedly on their shortlist, though Newcastle have turned down previous bids. The Gunners are therefore focusing on multiple midfield targets as they prepare for the upcoming season.
