Mikel Arteta signs long-term contract extension with Arsenal until 2030

Arsenal has officially announced a long-term contract extension for manager Mikel Arteta, securing his position at the club until June 2030. The decision follows a highly successful 2025-2026 season in which Arteta led the team to its first Premier League title in 22 years and reached the Champions League final.

The new agreement includes a significant salary increase, reportedly making Arteta the highest-paid manager in the Premier League. Estimates suggest his annual compensation could reach approximately £25 million, including bonuses. The deal also extends to members of his coaching staff to ensure continuity for the club’s long-term project.

Arsenal co-chairs Stan and Josh Kroenke expressed their full confidence in Arteta, noting his deep understanding of the club’s values. Arteta described the extension as a “privilege” and stated that the recent successes represent “only the beginning of what we can achieve together.”
