Arsenal defeat Everton 2-0 to move level with Manchester City

Arsenal secured a 2-0 victory over Everton at the Emirates Stadium, moving level with Manchester City at the top of the Premier League with 21 points. Ezri Konsa opened the scoring in the seventh minute following a corner that caused chaos in the Everton penalty area. Gabriel Magalhães doubled the lead in the 68th minute with a header from a Ben White cross.

Despite the win, Arsenal faced injury concerns. Defender Gabriel Magalhães appeared to suffer a knee injury early in the second half but continued playing to score. Midfielder Declan Rice was substituted in the 80th minute for Martin Zubimendi after appearing to experience hamstring discomfort; however, Rice later stated on social media that he is “feeling good.”

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta praised the team's mentality, particularly Gabriel's determination to play through physical distress. The victory allows the Gunners to capitalize on Manchester City's recent loss to Aston Villa, though City maintains a superior goal difference.
