Arsenal signs Ezri Konsa from Aston Villa

Arsenal has completed the signing of defender Ezri Konsa from Aston Villa for a fee of approximately £51 million to £55 million. The 28-year-old versatile defender has signed a four-year contract at the Emirates Stadium.

The move follows news that Arsenal defender William Saliba is expected to be sidelined for an extended period due to a back injury.

Former Chelsea defender John Terry has commented on the transfer, suggesting that Konsa is a massive signing for Mikel Arteta’s side. Terry, who previously worked with Konsa at Aston Villa, claimed that Konsa is of such high quality that he may even prevent Saliba from reclaiming his place in the starting XI once the Frenchman returns to fitness.
