Arsenal targets Aston Villa defender Ezri Konsa in €60m bid
North London club Arsenal are reported to be pursuing Aston Villa centre‑back Ezri Konsa. The 28‑year‑old English international, who played 48 matches, scored two goals and provided one assist last season as Villa secured the Europa League, is valued at around €60 million. Arsenal manager Mikel Artista sees Konsa’s versatility – able to operate as a centre‑half or right‑back – as a solution to strengthen the Gunners’ defence ahead of the next Premier League campaign.
Villa’s contract with Konsa runs until 2028, complicating a low‑cost move, but recent UEFA sanctions on the club’s wage budget could force a sale. Arsenal have also been linked with fellow Villa midfielder Morgan Rogers, but Konsa remains the primary target.
