Arsenal to address key player contracts during international break

Following a 3-0 loss to Brighton, Arsenal is preparing to address several key contract situations during the upcoming international break. The club aims to secure long-term commitments from core players Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard before they enter the final 18 months of their current deals.

Discussions regarding Declan Rice are reportedly active, with the club seeking to secure his future with a wage increase. Martin Odegaard is also a priority for renewal following an upturn in his form. Additionally, negotiations with Jurrien Timber are believed to be the most advanced as the club looks to reward him following his recovery from injury.

Other players, including David Raya and Kai Havertz, have contracts expiring in 2028, which the club intends to address incrementally over the next year. Manager Mikel Arteta, whose current deal expires in 2027, is also expected to receive a three-year extension.
