Arsenal transfer activity reveals long-term youth strategy and summer shortlist

Arsenal has been involved in significant transfer activity, both through recent signings and long-term strategic planning for youth talent. The club has secured a pre-contract deal for Victor Ozhianvuna from Shamrock Rovers, who is set to join in January 2027 once he turns 18.

Additionally, a leaked 21-player summer shortlist reveals Arsenal's extensive pursuit of various players across Europe. The list included targets from major clubs such as Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Chelsea, and Tottenham Hotspur. While the club successfully signed players like Christos Tzolis, Bruno Guimaraes, Piero Hincapie, Ezri Konsa, and Illan Meslier, they missed out on several high-profile targets including Morgan Rogers and Bradley Barcola.

Other Premier League clubs are also engaging in similar long-term recruitment strategies. Liverpool has arranged a move for Saint-Etienne forward Djylian N’Guessan, scheduled for January 2027, following his performance in the 2025 U17 Euros.
