Arsenal Victory Parade in North London Draws Up to One Million Fans, Sparks Violence and Arrests

Arsenal celebrated their first Premier League title in 22 years with a public parade through north London. The five‑mile route around the Emirates Stadium attracted between 750,000 and one million supporters, far exceeding early estimates. Three open‑top buses carried the men’s squad, the women’s team and family members, and the atmosphere was described as euphoric.

Police reported multiple incidents of disorder. At least six people were stabbed and between 16 and 24 arrests were made, including assaults on officers, possession of knives, drug offences and a stabbing on Hornsey Road. Several officers were injured during the clashes. Emergency services rescued about 75 fans who had climbed lamp posts, roofs and other high places to watch the procession, and Finsbury Park station was closed because of overcrowding.
