Arshad Warsi film ‘Jeevan Bheema Yojna’ set for September 4 release

The dark comedy film ‘Jeevan Bheema Yojna’, starring Arshad Warsi in a double role, is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on September 4, 2026. Directed by Abhishek Dogra, the film was previously slated for an August 28 release.

The plot follows Jeevan and his wife Yojana, a couple struggling with significant debt. Their plan to fake Jeevan’s death to claim an insurance payout takes a dangerous turn when they discover that Jeevan’s lookalike, Bheema, is connected to a diamond-smuggling network. The film also stars Sanjeeda Shaikh, Vijay Raaz, Pooja Chopra, and Bijendra Kala.

The new release date sets the film on a collision course at the box office with ‘Mirzapur: The Movie’. Reports suggest the delay in the release of ‘Jeevan Bheema Yojna’ may have been due to the film not being fully ready or delays in obtaining a censor certificate.
