Arson attacks reported in Unna and Bremen, Germany
Police in Unna, North Rhine‑Westphalia, investigated a series of three arson attacks on the night of 4 June. Two parked cars were set ablaze on Luisen‑ and Korn streets, and a nearby residential building and waste containers were damaged by fire. The incidents caused roughly €80,000 in property loss but no injuries.
In Bremen’s Neustadt district, authorities responded to three separate tree‑burning incidents between 22:15 h and 00:30 h on the night of 23 July 2026. Fires affected a tree stump near a park, a second tree along the Neustadtswall, and a construction site fence on Am Deich street. All flames were extinguished quickly; the trees suffered damage but no one was hurt. Police have opened investigations in both cities and are seeking witnesses.
