Arson incidents reported in Pará and Roraima, Brazil

In Mucajaí, southern Roraima, a 33-year-old man woke in the early hours to find his car on fire at his home. The vehicle was destroyed; no arrests were reported. The victim told the Military Police that he woke around 2 a.m. after his dog barked, went outside, and saw the car in flames. The man noted that the house next door belongs to him and is rented to a man who could have ties to criminal factions, and investigators are examining possible links to the incident.

In Paragominas, southeastern Pará, a nearly 40-square-meter apartment was damaged by a fire on Thursday night after a dispute between the owner and his wife. Police described the blaze as criminal arson; the suspect, one of the property's owners, fled the scene and had not been located by Friday afternoon. No injuries were reported and investigations continue.
