ARSP deploys new judicial police officers in DRC
The Regulatory Authority for Subcontracting in the Private Sector (ARSP) has sworn in 24 new judicial police officers (OPJ) at the Kinshasa-Gombe courthouse. This brings the total number of specialized agents to 55, following the initial investment of 31 officers in 2023.
The officers underwent a ten-day training program focused on legal procedures and investigation techniques. Their primary mission is to monitor compliance with subcontracting legislation in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, detect irregularities in contract awards, and ensure that companies meet their legal obligations.
This initiative aims to increase transparency and facilitate greater access to subcontracting markets for Congolese entrepreneurs. By strengthening oversight, the ARSP intends to promote national entrepreneurship and stimulate job creation through the enforcement of existing subcontracting laws.
