Art and Leisure Caravan Brings Free Activities to Monjolos and Santa Izabel in São Gonçalo

The Fundação de Artes, Esporte e Lazer de São Gonçalo (FAELSG) organized a free weekend "Caravana de Arte e Lazer" for children in the city of São Gonçalo, Brazil. On Saturday, 1 August 2026, the caravan set up at Campo do Canequinho on Avenida Itamarati in the Monjolos neighbourhood, offering inflatable toys, a trampoline, a ball pit, games, workshops, face painting and free snacks. More than one hundred children participated. The program continued on Sunday, 2 August, at Praça de Itaitindiba in the Santa Izabel neighbourhood, with the same schedule and activities from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The municipal government provides the event at no cost to families, aiming to bring recreation and social interaction to vulnerable areas of the city.
