Art and theatre exhibitions announced in Arezzo and Florence

Several art and theatre exhibitions are scheduled in Italy. In Arezzo, the Galleria Ricasoli at the Palazzo della Provincia will host “Arte informale,” a solo exhibition by Cesare Dragoni from September 30 to October 5. Dragoni’s work focuses on informal art, utilizing materials such as epoxy resins, beeswax, and combusted plastics to create multi-material compositions.

In Florence, the MAD Murate Art District – Fondazione MUS is presenting “Commedia armoniosa per un drago nascente” from September 25 to October 20. Curated by Andrea Mancini, the exhibition explores the theatrical research of Giuliano Scabia during the late 1960s and early 1970s. The showcase uses materials from the Scabia Archive to highlight his role in renewing Italian theatre by moving performances beyond traditional venues to engage directly with communities.
