Art Basel Paris expands reach beyond Grand Palais for 2026 edition

Art Basel Paris is expanding its footprint for its upcoming edition, which will feature 211 galleries from 41 countries and regions. While the main fair returns to the Grand Palais from October 23–25, the 2026 program, led by new Director Karim Crippa, will extend into various Parisian landmarks including the Petit Palais, Palais d’Iéna, and the Cité de l’architecture et du patrimoine.

Highlights for the event include the ‘Oh La La!’ initiative, with actress Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu serving as guest art director. This program invites galleries to rehang booths under the theme ‘Myths and Legends’ during the final weekend. The fair also features 32 debuting galleries and a record 24 galleries participating in shared booth arrangements. Additionally, the ‘Conversations’ series will move to the Grand Palais Auditorium to host discussions between artists, curators, and collectors.
