Art exhibition openings in Croatia and Montenegro highlight local painters

The Kurija Gallery at the Museum Prigorja in Sesvete, Croatia, opened the solo exhibition “Joie de peindre” by acclaimed painter Tomislav Buntak on 15 May 2026. The show features works noted for their intense colour, expressive lines and vitalist energy, and will be on view free of charge until 29 May.

In Podgorica, Montenegro, President Jakov Milatović inaugurated the exhibition “Moderna – XX vijek”, organized by the city’s museums and galleries. The display gathers representative paintings and sculptures by Montenegrin artists of the 20th century, emphasizing the cultural heritage and identity of the nation.
