Art exhibitions and film screenings highlight contemporary creative practices

Taguspark is hosting “Corpo Coletivo,” an exhibition featuring seven visual artists. Curated by Paula Gabriel Mouta and João Carlos, the event aims to foster dialogue between various artistic languages and sensitivities. The program includes a “Ciclo de Conversas,” consisting of five public sessions where artists, curators, and researchers will discuss topics such as the role of art in society, Portuguese artistic identity, and the relationship between art and human rights.

In Brazil, the Escola de Artes Visuais do Parque Lage is presenting “Em Busca do Espaço Cotidiano” as part of its Cine Lage project. The film, directed by Leon Hirszman in partnership with psychiatrist Nise da Silveira, documents the artistic production of Fernando Diniz at the Pedro II Psychiatric Center. The documentary is part of a trilogy titled “Imagens do Inconsciente,” which highlights therapeutic practices that utilize painting and other activities to promote expression.
