Art exhibitions draw attention in the Netherlands

In the Netherlands, significant art exhibitions and installations are drawing attention. Belgian artist Dirk Denoyelle is hosting ‘Bricks of Wonder’ at the Westfield Mall of the Netherlands in Leidschendam. The exhibition features creations built from over two million Lego bricks, including a ‘Lansink Ladder’ that uses colored steps to represent the waste management hierarchy, from prevention to landfill.

Meanwhile, Museum Voorlinden in Wassenaar has received the iconic five-meter-tall sculpture ‘Boy’ by artist Ron Mueck. On loan from the ARoS museum in Denmark for the institution's tenth anniversary, the massive artwork arrived in two large sections under police escort. The sculpture is currently being assembled and touched up by the artist on-site and is scheduled to be open to the public starting September 12.
