Art exhibitions explore identity and landscape in Italy
Two distinct art exhibitions have opened in Italy, focusing on themes of identity and landscape.
In Puos d’Alpago, painter Alice De Bona has launched her exhibition ‘Ai confini della mente’ (At the Boundaries of the Mind) at the municipal building. The show, running until August 30, marks her return to painting after a four-year creative hiatus. Her work explores the illusions of the mind and the internal conflicts associated with the transformation of identity through color and form.
In Santo Stefano Quisquina, Peppe Rizzo is presenting his solo exhibition ‘Visioni’ (Visions) at the Hub Turistico, available until September 13. The collection features works created between 2023 and 2026, representing over forty years of artistic research. Rizzo’s paintings interpret the Sicilian landscape not as a static postcard, but as an internal space of memory and resistance, where natural elements like trees and light serve as metaphors for human condition and change.
