Cultural exhibitions explore photography, AI, and 20th-century art

Various cultural and photographic exhibitions are scheduled across Italy and Switzerland. In Rieti, Italy, the Utopia association is hosting ‘L’isola degli arrusi’ by Luana Rigolli from October 10 to 24. The exhibition uses photography and archival documents to reconstruct the history of men from Catania who were exiled to San Domino during the fascist regime.

In Corzoneso-Casserio, Switzerland, the Archivio Donetta is hosting a discussion on ‘Photography and Artificial Intelligence’ on September 20. The event features Swiss artist Luciano Rigolini and Milanese critic Alessandro Curti, exploring the technological challenges and creative shifts brought by AI in the photographic field.

Additionally, the Idearte Gallery in Ferrara, Italy, will present ‘Dialoghi 1-2-3’ from October 10 to November 10. The exhibition showcases the works of 20th-century artists Claudio Cintoli, Dennis Oppenheim, and Robert Rauschenberg, focusing on their experimentation with unconventional materials and the boundaries of traditional art.
