Art exhibitions feature Champieux, Emmanuel Lepage, and Christian Rossi

Several art exhibitions are opening in France, featuring diverse styles ranging from non-figurative painting to illustrated travelogues and western-themed comics.

In Agde, the artist Champieux is presenting ‘Ressac’ at Espace Molière until October 31. The exhibition focuses on a search for light and a transition from reality to the imaginary through non-figurative painting. The artist’s work emphasizes observation, sensation, and a color palette that has evolved from dark tones to include more blues and reds.

In Paris, Galerie Daniel Maghen is hosting a dual exhibition from September 2 to 26, 2026. The event features a retrospective of Emmanuel Lepage’s work, highlighting his watercolor illustrations of extreme climates and landscapes, such as those found in ‘Danser avec le vent’. Additionally, Christian Rossi is presenting ‘Golden West’ and ‘Comanche Trail’, works that blend history and fiction through western narratives involving Apache characters and the warrior Geronimo.
