Art exhibitions featuring Dalí and Picasso open in Spain

Various art exhibitions are opening in Spain, featuring works by renowned masters. In Vigo, the Museo do Mar is hosting ‘Dante Dalí’, an exhibition showcasing Salvador Dalí’s artistic interpretations of Dante Alighieri’s ‘The Divine Comedy’ created between 1960 and 1964. The display also pays tribute to Galician writer Darío Xohán Cabana.

In Madrid, the Galería María Porto & David Bardía has inaugurated ‘Picasso contra el tiempo’. This retrospective aims to present Pablo Picasso beyond his cubist reputation by displaying 14 pieces alongside works from Ancient Egypt, Classical Greece, Rome, and the Gothic period to highlight his classical influences. One notable piece included is a 1967 sketch for ‘Nu couché’.
