Art exhibitions featuring poster art to open in Ruse and Dimitrovgrad

Several art exhibitions focusing on the medium of the poster are scheduled to open in Bulgaria.

In Ruse, the Art Gallery – Ruse will host an exhibition titled ‘Poster – Lyudmil Chekhlarov’ starting October 15, 2026. The showcase features works from the collection of the Art Gallery – Dobrich, which includes a significant donation by Chekhlarov. The collection consists of 115 original poster projects and 233 printed posters from the artist's personal archive, spanning decades of his work in theatrical and graphic design.

Additionally, the ‘Black and White’ exhibition will open on October 14, 2026, at the Petko Churchuliev Art Gallery in Dimitrovgrad. This project explores the poster as a tool for visual communication, utilizing a limited black-and-white palette to create contrast and emphasize social issues, personal perspectives, and various viewpoints. Participating artists include Svetlin Balezdrov, Rositsa Bochukova, Damyan Damyanov, Stoyan Dechev, Stefan Chinov, and Petar Chuchuligov.
