Art exhibitions held in Saliceto and Castelli

Various art exhibitions are taking place in Italy, highlighting local talent and historical preservation. In Saliceto, a successful exhibition of painting, photography, and mixed media concluded at the Castello dei marchesi del Carretto. Curated by Mauro Ballocco and Gianni Torre, the event featured works by numerous local and non-local artists. The exhibition also served a charitable purpose, as donated works helped raise funds to restore a vandalized painting in the Renaissance church of San Lorenzo.

In Castelli, the Museo delle ceramiche will inaugurate “Il deposito in mostra. Il Gran Fuoco di Aligi Sassu” on August 13. The exhibition, which was rescheduled following the passing of master ceramist Nino Di Simone, focuses on the relationship between 20th-century Italian artist Aligi Sassu and ceramic materials. The display includes approximately twelve works, such as bronze and ceramic sculptures, emphasizing themes of freedom and dynamism through the symbol of the horse.
