Art exhibitions in Austria celebrate photography and painterly milestones

Two distinct art exhibitions are scheduled to highlight significant photographic and painterly milestones. In Salzburg, Austria, Gallery Fotohof will host ‘Salon of Photography – Reinhart Mlineritsch’ from October 2 to November 26, 2026. The exhibition celebrates 200 years of photography and the 45th anniversary of Fotohof by inviting Salzburg-based artists to present their earliest works, either as vintage prints or reconstructions.

In Innsbruck, Austria, ARTfair Innsbruck is presenting a special exhibition dedicated to the lifetime achievements of Bettina Heinen-Ayech as part of its 30th anniversary. Heinen-Ayech, a prominent figure in European plein air and watercolor painting, has been active in Germany and Algeria for several decades. Her work has been featured in international exhibitions alongside major artists and is held in various public and museum collections.
