Art exhibitions in Buenos Aires and Mendoza explore culture and technology

Argentine illustrator Rosa Rovira opened her solo show “Local y universal” at the Banco Ciudad’s “caja de cristal” in downtown Buenos Aires. The exhibition, curated with guest artist María Fullhart, runs Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. until mid‑September and features large‑format water‑based oil paintings, watercolors, ink drawings and mixed‑media works such as “Monte vivo”, “Mis montañas” and “Cielo cóncavo”.

In Mendoza, visual artist Leticia Rossi, together with Darío Martínez, presented the exhibition “Cuerpos frágiles, máquinas sensibles” at the Legislature’s public space on Peatonal Sarmiento. Open to the public for free until 28 August, the show examines humanity’s relationship with technology, using biomaterials like bacterial cellulose derived from kombucha, “luminosity chronographies” and installations that question the boundaries between body, data and nature.
