Art exhibitions in Italy explore human-nature relationships

Several art exhibitions in Italy are exploring the relationship between humanity and the natural environment.

In Rome, the Antigallery is hosting a collective photography exhibition titled ‘I think having land and not ruining… Avere la terra e non rovinarla’ as part of the 29th FotograficaMonti review. Curated by Barbara Martusciello, the show features works by Patrizia Dottori, Thalassini Douma, Fabio Gasparri, Mattia Morelli, and Roberto Petitti. The exhibition uses poetic and aesthetic registers to prompt ethical and ecological reflections on the fragility of landscapes in the Anthropocene.

In Cagliari, the Cittadella dei musei is hosting ‘Terra Madre. Geografia del sensibile,’ a contemporary art exhibition organized by the Auravisiva association in collaboration with the University of Cagliari. The exhibition creates a dialogue between the textile research of Maria Grazia Medda and the photography of Cédric Dasesson. The installation is multisensory, featuring a soundified tree that translates bioelectric plant variations into audible signals for visitors.
