Art exhibitions in Italy explore themes of nature and community
Several art exhibitions exploring the relationship between nature and culture have opened in Italy.
In Bolzano, the exhibition ‘INTRECCI – VERFLECHTUNGEN’ features the work of Thea Unteregger and Francesca Tomasi at the Galleria dell’Associazione degli Artisti della Provincia di Bolzano. The project examines the connections between nature, culture, and community through different artistic languages. Tomasi’s work focuses on bare trunks and essential structures to evoke memory and transformation, while Unteregger utilizes collages to give plants distinct identities and local traditions.
In San Benedetto Po, sculptor Giovanna Gazzi has opened ‘Ramo Radice Ruvido’ at the Abbazia Benedettina del Polirone. The exhibition consists of 22 ceramic sculptures inspired by the vegetation and landscape of the Po Valley. The works reinterpret natural elements such as trunks, branches, and roots, focusing on specimens that show the marks of time and strength.
