Puerres hosts VI Pictorial Exhibition featuring art and history

The municipality of Puerres hosted its VI Pictorial Exhibition on September 18 and 19, featuring a diverse range of artistic and historical displays. The event showcased contrasting styles, including church models by master Óscar Timarán and Neo-Pop art by Franco Ponce.

Historical elements were central to the festivities, with historians discussing the impact of the Thousand Days' War on the southern region. Educational activities at San Mateo school focused on the Qhapaq Ñan ancestral path. Additionally, the Banda 20 de Septiembre was honored with a support bonus following their recent victory in Samaniego.

The event received support from the Gobernación de Nariño, and the Viceministerio de Turismo expressed interest in including the exhibition in the department's official tourist route.
