Art exhibitions open in Alcoi and Almacelles

Several art exhibitions have opened in Spain, highlighting both student work and professional retrospectives.

In Alcoi, the Aldemar Municipal School of Fine Arts is hosting ‘El poder de l’art’ (The Power of Art) at the Àgora through October 30. This biennial exhibition showcases works created by intermediate, advanced, and project groups between 2024 and 2026. Marking the school's 65th anniversary, the collection features various techniques including sculpture and painting, with a specific emphasis on sculpture and works inspired by classical masters.

In Almacelles, the Museum of Art and Urbanism (MAU) has inaugurated a retrospective exhibition by photographer Toni Prim. The showcase includes four of his recent series: ‘Handmade’, ‘Sèries en nu’, ‘Benvinguts a Palm City’, and ‘L’esperit de la fàbrica Trepat’. The exhibition aims to provide a look at Prim's career and his creative motivations, exploring themes of happiness and the playfulness of life through his photographic lens.
