Art Exhibitions Open in Argentina's Catamarca and Spain's Cádiz

The 3rd Salón de Artes Visuales opened at the Museo Provincial de Bellas Artes Laureano Brizuela in Catamarca, featuring works by 40 artists from Catamarca, Tucumán, Salta, Jujuy and Santiago del Estero. The exhibition, free to the public, showcases painting, sculpture, photography, engraving, ceramics, textiles and mixed techniques, with prize‑winning pieces by Rodolfo Edgardo Soria, Viviana Raquel Averbo and Emiliano D’Amato Mateo becoming provincial heritage.

In Cádiz, Spain, the Sures Exhibition launched at the Castillo de Santa Catalina as part of the Festival de Nuevas Creaciones del Sur. The show, running from 18 to 21 June, includes around 90 artists and artisans presenting contemporary art, craft and design, spanning ceramics, basketry, textile, metalwork and performance. Organisers highlight the dialogue between local, regional and international creators and the effort to preserve traditional crafts such as wicker and ceramics.
