Art exhibitions open in Brazil and Portugal

The Galeria de Arte Ipanema in Brazil is celebrating its 61st anniversary with the exhibition ‘Leontina, Milton e Alexandre — A Transmissão do Olhar’. The show features works by Maria Leontina, Milton Dacosta, and Alexandre Dacosta, representing three generations of a single family. The collection explores the evolution of artistic vision through abstraction, geometric construction, and figuration.

In Portugal, artist Pedro Cabrita Reis is presenting his first solo exhibition at the Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology (MAAT) in Lisbon. The exhibition includes 13 paintings inspired by El Greco’s ‘Apostolado’ and the aluminum sculpture ‘Croce’. Reis describes the exhibition process as an art form in itself, focusing on the relationships and dialogues established between the works.
