Art exhibitions open in Brazil and Portugal

Various art exhibitions are opening in Brazil and Portugal, focusing on themes of nature, memory, and territory.

In Cravinhos, Brazil, the Memorial Casa Libanesa is hosting “Labirintos da Fauna,” an exhibition of oil paintings by Vitória Barros. Part of the “Projeto Redescobrimento” by the Clube de Artistas, the show explores the connections between nature, imagination, and memory through themes of instinct, camouflage, and metamorphosis. The exhibition is open to the public for free through October 30.

In Vimioso, Portugal, the Casa da Cultura has inaugurated “Linha de Terra.” This collection of 30 works, including paintings, sculptures, and installations, examines the rugged landscape of the border region and its collective memories. Featuring artists such as Nadir Afonso and Acácio de Carvalho, the exhibition is part of the Bienal de Arte Contemporânea Terras de Trás-os-Montes and will remain on display until December 31, 2026.
