Brazil hosts diverse cultural exhibitions and social art projects
Brazil is hosting a diverse array of cultural and artistic initiatives across various regions. In Salvador, the Museu de Arte da Bahia presents ‘Atlântico Sertão’, an exhibition featuring approximately 80 contemporary artists exploring themes of ancestrality, identity, and the historical relationship between the coast and the Sertão.
Other notable cultural events include the ‘Peréio’ exhibition in Rio das Ostras dedicated to actor Paulo Cesar Peréio, and the ‘Bailarinas’ exhibition at the Jardim de Alah metro station in Rio de Janeiro. In Mato Grosso, a student art exhibition at the Valdon Varjão Cultural Center uses creative works to address violence against women.
Social and educational projects are also active, such as the ‘Sertão em Cena’ initiative in Bahia and Piauí, which uses music and dance to provide environmental education and social inclusion for vulnerable children. Additionally, the ‘Bordando Caminhos’ project in Igrejinha recently concluded workshops teaching free embroidery to atypical mothers.
