Art exhibitions open in Elvas and Lisbon

Several new art exhibitions have opened in Portugal. In Elvas, the “Galeria de Imagens” exhibition, part of the “Teatro Anatómico” project, is currently on display at the Coliseu de Elvas. Curated by Marta de Menezes and Manuel Valente Alves, the project utilizes the historical collection of the University of Lisbon's Faculty of Medicine to explore the intersection of science, art, and the “One Health” concept. This exhibition is scheduled to run until October 30, 2026.

Additionally, photographer Jacinto César has inaugurated the “Fortalezas d’Elvas” exhibition at the Casa da Cultura in Elvas. The showcase features photographic works documenting the city's historical heritage and was opened with support from the Municipality of Elvas.

In Lisbon, painter Mariana Laginha is presenting her solo exhibition, “Restos e Recantos,” at the UMA galeria in São Bento. The collection consists of oil paintings exploring memory, time, and urban fragments, and will remain open to the public until November 7.
