Art exhibitions open in Labin and Zagreb

Several art exhibitions are opening in Croatia. In Labin, artist Damir Sobota presents ‘Refleksije sustava’ (System Reflections) at the local gallery. The exhibition features works based on geometric abstraction and the exploration of space, utilizing both painting and non-painting materials. The works emphasize processualism and the interaction between the viewer, light, and the architectural space.

In Zagreb, the Forum Gallery hosts ‘Provjerite jeste li živi’ (Check if You Are Alive) by Vlasta Delimar. This multi-location anti-retrospective examines the female body through the lenses of aging, visibility, and desire. The project connects Delimar’s earlier works on autonomy and sexuality with contemporary themes of physical functionality and social perception, including a performance regarding the dignity of aging.
