Art exhibitions open in Niterói and Rio de Janeiro
Two distinct art exhibitions have opened in the state of Rio de Janeiro. In Niterói, the Centro Cultural Cauby Peixoto is hosting ‘PÁGINA 2 – Artistas da Agenda Cultural de Niterói’. The free exhibition features 14 local artists whose works have previously appeared on the covers of the city's cultural agenda. The showcase runs until November 29, offering a collective narrative of diverse visual arts styles.
In Rio de Janeiro, the Palácio Tiradentes is hosting ‘Cidades Líquidas: arte em aquarela e café’. The exhibition features 30 works by French artist Jèrôme Poignard, who has resided in Rio de Janeiro for 28 years. The pieces utilize a unique technique combining watercolor with coffee to depict urban landscapes inspired by his experiences in both Rio and Paris. The exhibition is open to the public for free until November 11.
