Art exhibitions open in Paraguay and Spain

The Centro Cultural del Lago in Areguá will host the second edition of the “Cuencas húmedas #2” exhibition starting September 6. Curated by Fernando Moure, the project features 18 artists using diverse media including ceramics, photography, painting, sculpture, and video art to explore the relationship between art and nature. The works reflect on the physical and human territories of local wetlands, ranging from poetic exaltations of aquatic environments to critical views on human impact on the land.

In Spain, illustrator Blanca Escrigas is presenting her “Acuarela y collage” exhibition at the Centro Comercial Odeón until September 14. The collection consists of 25 images divided into two themes: beach scenes depicting the chaotic architecture of summer crowds, and urban landscapes of the Ferrolterra region. The artist utilizes a mix of watercolor, collage, colored pencils, inks, and acrylics to create dynamic depictions of recognizable local spaces.
