Art exhibitions open in Santa Rosa and Mendoza

Various art exhibitions are opening in Argentina. In Santa Rosa, artist Florencia Pumilla is presenting ‘Sistere’ at the Universidad Nacional de La Pampa. The exhibition, which runs until September 20, features recent works alongside pieces from earlier in her career, some of which are being shown in La Pampa for the first time. A guided tour led by Pumilla and curator Eva Dolard is scheduled to discuss the production processes and the conceptual link between ‘being’, ‘insisting’, and ‘resisting’.

In Mendoza, the MAMM is inaugurating ‘Vértigo Pose’ by artist Valentina Quintero. The exhibition features large-format paintings that translate the corporal memory of her performance art into visual works. Quintero’s work explores themes of femininity, non-binary identity, and urban culture, blending influences from classical painting, comics, and pop stars. The opening event is scheduled for September 3 at the MAMM Annex.
