Art exhibitions open in Stalowa Wola and Warka

Two distinct art exhibitions have opened in Poland, highlighting diverse creative expressions. In Stalowa Wola, Galeria Karpińskiego is hosting an exhibition by Ewa and Jakub Podlodowski. The duo presents contrasting artistic visions, with Ewa Podlodowska focusing on her 'Dekoratorium' series. Her work blends contemporary figurative painting with intricate ornamentation, using dots, lines, and modules to create structures reminiscent of historical tapestries and gobelins. Her compositions often integrate realistic depictions of animals, nature, and the female figure into rhythmic, ornamental patterns.

In Warka, the exhibition ‘Warka na Ślubnym Kobiercu’ (Warka on the Wedding Carpet) has been inaugurated at the Dworek. Coordinated by Ewa Kamaszewska, the collection uses historical wedding photographs to preserve local family histories and spark discussions regarding the evolving social role of women. The event featured insights into the history of feminism and women's rights, featuring contributions from Mariola Rybicka and the presence of Katarzyna Głąbicka-Auleytner, the Mazovian Voivodeship Plenipotentiary for Equality.
