Art exhibitions open in Vitória and Florianópolis

New art exhibitions have launched in Brazil, highlighting regional and international works. In Vitória, the Cais das Artes is hosting “EU SOU PORQUE SOMOS,” an exhibition featuring 57 artists from Espírito Santo. The showcase includes various mediums such as painting, photography, video, and installations, aiming to connect different generations of artists through a dialogue between contemporary works and historical archives from institutions like the Museum of Art of Espírito Santo.

In Florianópolis, the Museum of Art of Santa Catarina (MASC) is presenting “Fotografia(s) Contemporânea(s): Entre Tempos.” This photography exhibition features 55 works from artists across 11 Latin American countries, including Brazil. The exhibition is part of the 8th Floripa na Foto Photography Festival and explores the role of photography as both an artistic language and a historical document, bridging historical collections with contemporary productions.
