Art exhibitions promote social inclusion in Argentina and Colombia

Various cultural initiatives in Argentina and Colombia are utilizing art to promote social inclusion and combat discrimination.

In Argentina, the 17th edition of the “Miradas Diferentes” exhibition was inaugurated at the Museo de la Casa de la Cultura. The showcase features 24 works created by participants from a Day Center for People with Disabilities. The event, held during the Non-Discrimination Week, aims to highlight diversity and artistic expression as tools for building a more equitable society.

In Colombia, the exhibition “Mi nombre no es” is being hosted at the Casa para la Dignidad de las Mujeres in Manizales. Supported by the Secretariat of Women and Gender Equity, this photographic and audiovisual display shares the experiences of Afro-descendant individuals, sexually diverse people, and people with disabilities. The initiative seeks to raise awareness regarding racism, symbolic violence, and social prejudice. The exhibition remains open to the public until October 1.
