Art exhibitions showcase regional landscapes and developments in Hungary and Romania

Two distinct art exhibitions are opening to highlight the heritage and natural beauty of the Transylvanian and Békés regions.

In Békéscsaba, Hungary, the outdoor exhibition ‘Otthonunk, Békés’ (Our Home, Békés) features 21 large-scale panels photographed by Gusztáv Boldog. Commissioned by Europe Direct Békés, the collection documents infrastructure developments funded by EU resources alongside local natural treasures and architectural landmarks, such as the Bréda Castle in Lőkösháza.

In Baia Mare, Romania, the Teleki Hungarian House will host ‘Évszakok – Utazások a Homoródok mentén’ (Seasons – Travels along the Homoród valleys). The exhibition features graphic works by Ybl Prize-winning architect and academic Péter Wagner. His drawings, created over the past three years using pastels and digital tablets, capture the landscapes, old churches, and villages of Transylvania, Partium, Maramureș, and Szeklerland.
